Between us, we have over 150 years of experience in corporate & retail financial services (AEGON, Bank of Scotland, Royal Bank of Scotland, Bank of Ireland & Prudential) and technology (Skyscanner and Voxar)
Jamie has over 17 years of financial services experience in Life, Bond and Pensions with J Rothschild Assurance and Scottish Equitable and in Retail, Corporate and Commercial banking with Bank of Scotland and Clydesdale Bank. He has held positions with a product technical remit, occupied management positions as well as client and introducer facing business development roles across the UK. He has also worked in the bridging finance sector and currently operates Conduit Finance which is a mid-market debt advisory firm based in Edinburgh. Conduit provides borrowers with fund raising, brokering and restructuring consultancy services. Originally from Argyll on the west coast of Scotland he is a high handicap slice prone golfer, a reluctantly retired rugby player and is married with one daughter.
Conrad has over 20 years’ experience in software product development across a wide range of technologies and industries. He has developed successful products hands-on from concept to commercial success, and also led development teams of 100+ developers. Having had leadership roles in several technology business exits he understands what it takes to build value with a software product. Conrad leads our product development and delivery and is also a member of the board helping shape the future of the business. He lives in Edinburgh and (when he has the time) enjoys cycling and the great outdoors; and he still does a little sword-fencing, a sport in which he represented the UK at the '92 Olympics, and Scotland at several Commonwealth Championships.
Andy has over 16 years of financial services experience in Corporate, Real Estate, High Value and Personal Banking from time spent with the Bank of Western Australia, Bank of Ireland and Bank of Scotland. He has previously held positions in front end banking developing new business and also in relationship management roles before moving to Conduit Finance as a consultant in 2011. His strong credit skills and current multi product knowledge of the market places allows him to deliver new finance for his clients. From Dunfermline, he is a recently retired footballer having played at junior level for many years. He is also a keen low double digit handicap golfer who is blessed with more power than direction. Andy is married with three children.
Mel joined Conduit Finance in 2014 as our multi-tasking Office Manager. She assists Jamie and the team with the day to day running and on-going improvement of the business. Whilst primarily ensuring the office operates smoothly she is also responsible for social media, SEO, PPC and marketing activity. She also works with our external partnerships to embed our proposition with their membership and users. Mel studied Architecture at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, and moved into recruitment shortly after. Whilst in recruitment she handled IT and Construction appointments. She then went on to work as a Consultant for a global recruitment firm and after which she started her own business which she ran until 2010.
Jim is a career banker having invested 37 years of his life with the Royal Bank of Scotland in commercial banking in Edinburgh. He has a strong background in credit policy, credit risk, loan servicing and structuring, business development and relationship management. He has previously lent to SME and Property borrowers and uses these core lending principles to spot anomalies in credit policy which helps us add value to the platform for our users. He provides a valuable connection between us and the lenders we are currently dealing with and are looking to work with in the future. Jim is a father of two married children and recently became a grandfather for the first time. He is an avid gym goer, is married and lives in the scenic coastal village of Dalgety Bay, Fife.
